A reality TV show offers up unexpected life lessons. A big ass spider drops in on a silent meditation retreat. Peter Pan realizes he is fat, sweaty and old. A neighborly gesture paves the way to an entanglement with a family of gypsies. Grandma, a gator and Kenny Rogers lurk down a swampy Southern Road.
Please join us as six of Chicago’s most entertaining performers muse on a variety of topics. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll drink delicious craft beer!
FEATURING: Tosha Fowler, Tim Hendrickson, Jill Howe, Jacob Kaufman, Maia Morgan, and Lindsay Porter
Storytelling starts at 7:30 in the back room. Admission is free. Donations which go to the performers are encouraged. Come support live performance and the spoken word and let’s make this a regular happening.

Goose Island Brewery made two beers brewed exclusively for Pitchfork Music Festival and we got ‘em. Forcone is a session ale hopped up with Amarillo hops and Run The Jewels is a collaboration between Goose Island and Killer Mike and El-P (who just released an album entitled Run The Jewels) which promises to be a big skunky IPA. Forcone will be served throughout the month, but on the 11th at 7:00, we will be tapping Run The Jewels as well as the new Fulton and Wood series Cucumbersome, a cucumber pilsner, and we will be raffling off a pair of tickets for the Pitchfork Music Fest for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Buy a Goose Island beer, get a ticket. Last pair of tickets will be given away at 10:00.
